Raymond L. Anstiss, Jr. has been involved with Anstiss & Co for many years. He joined the firm on a full-time basis in 1993. During this period, he has helped guide the firm’s growth enabling Anstiss & Co to become one of the largest firms located in Massachusetts.
Ray began his career in public accounting as a member of the audit staff in the Boston office of the international accounting firm of KPMG Peat Marwick. After four years on the audit staff, he pursued an advanced degree with a concentration in finance and taxation at the University of Notre Dame receiving his MBA with highest honors.
Over the past 20 years, Ray has provided audit, tax and consulting services to closely-held businesses in a wide variety of industries including high tech, manufacturing, distribution, construction, professional services, employee benefit plans and not-for-profits. He also has extensive experience with the design and implementation of stock option and retirement plans, mergers and acquisitions, development of strategic operating budgets, and providing outsourced CFO services.
Ray Anstiss serves as a member of several private company boards of directors and advisory committees including FIDUS Investment Corporation. Ray Anstiss is also a trustee at Saints Medical Center where he currently serves as the Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee.
He is a past member of the board of directors for Bishop Guertin High School, Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Merrimack Valley, D'Youville Senior Care, Inc. and Whistler House Museum.
He has presented at various community based organizations on matters ranging from tax to not-for-profit governance.
